Picking Up Steam: Come Meet Bill!

By all accounts, our campaign is picking up steam! Thanks to all of our many generous donors and the core group of volunteers who are devoting so much of their time to our cause.

I’m learning I'm far from the only one who thinks “It’s Time for a Change!”

Check out this week’s edition of the Alexandria Times. See the feature article on yours truly here!

If you missed the recent debates, here is coverage and you can watch the entire debate on YouTube.

If you and I have never met in person or you’ve never seen me on Zoom, here are some upcoming events where that may be possible:

  • Saturday 5/8 from 9:00 - 10:30 am, Simpson Field on Monroe Avenue: I’m coming out to spend some time with the families of the Alexandria Soccer Association. See you there, moms and dads!

  • Saturday 5/8 from 11:00 am – Noon, Cameron Station Ice Cream Social: I’ll be back in the West End to speak with the underrepresented residents of that neighborhood.

  • Saturday 5/8 night – Hank’s Oyster Bar: Going out to dinner. If you see me there, come up and say hello!

  • Sunday 5/9 evening – Witter Field: I’ll be spending some time with the growing group of adult athletes who will be playing that night on the fields many of us fought to build!

  • Monday 5/10, 7:30 – 9:00 pm – Braddock Place Candidate Forum (along with residents of The Henry): If you live in those buildings, you should receive an invite from your HOA.

  • Tuesday evening 5/11 – Del Ray Citizens Association Candidates Forum, awaiting details.

  • Thursday 5/13 6:30-8:00 pm – Chirilagua Candidates Forum, sponsored by Tenants & Workers United, the local chapter of the NAACP, Grass Roots Alexandria, and Racial Justice Alexandria. It will be held outside at 3801 Mt. Vernon Ave. Bienvenidos a todos!

  • Saturday 5/15 at 3 pm – Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Candidates Forum: No, this is not a group of college women. Well, not anymore, but some bonds do last forever! Details to follow.
